Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the SoCal Basketball Club website and related services (“Site” and “Services”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our Site and participation in our programs. By accessing the Site or registering for any program, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Site or Services.

1. Organization Information

SoCal Basketball Club (“SoCal Basketball Club,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates youth basketball programs, tournaments, camps, leagues, and related events.

2. Eligibility & Parental Responsibility

• All participants are minors and must be registered by a parent or legal guardian

• The registering adult represents they have legal authority to enroll the child

• Parents/guardians are responsible for:

  • Accuracy of all information submitted

  • Player conduct

  • Compliance with program rules and policies

3. Registration & Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
We reserve the right to suspend or cancel participation if false or misleading information is provided.

4. Payments, Fees & No-Show Deposits

A. Fees

Some programs or events may require fees, deposits, or refundable holds. All fees are disclosed during registration.

B. No-Show Deposit

• Certain events require a refundable no-show deposit

• A “no-show” includes failure to attend, late cancellation, or withdrawal without proper notice

• Deposits are refunded only if participation requirements are met

• Refund timelines are determined by the event and processing provider

5. Cancellations & Program Changes

SoCal Basketball Club reserves the right to:

• Modify schedules, locations, formats, or divisions

• Cancel or reschedule events due to weather, facility issues, safety concerns, or low enrollment

We are not responsible for costs incurred outside of registration fees (travel, lodging, etc.).

6. Communications (Email & SMS)

By registering, you consent to receive transactional communications, including:

• Schedule updates

• Event reminders

• Weather or venue changes

• Program announcements

Messages may be sent via email or SMS, including automated systems.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out of SMS by replying STOP, though this may limit essential communications.

7. Code of Conduct

Participants, parents, coaches, and spectators are expected to:

• Demonstrate sportsmanship and respect

• Follow all facility and event rules

• Refrain from abusive, disruptive, or unsafe behavior

SoCal Basketball Club may remove individuals or teams for violations without refund.

8. Assumption of Risk

Participation in athletic activities involves inherent risks, including injury.

By registering, you acknowledge and accept these risks on behalf of yourself and the participant.

9. Release of Liability & Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to:

• Release and hold harmless SoCal Basketball Club, its staff, volunteers, facilities, and partners from claims arising from participation

• Indemnify SoCal Basketball Club against claims caused by your actions or those of the participant

10. Medical Authorization

You authorize SoCal Basketball Club to seek emergency medical treatment for the participant if necessary.
You are responsible for all medical expenses incurred.

11. Media Release

Unless otherwise stated in writing, you grant permission for SoCal Basketball Club to use photographs, video, and audio recordings of participants for:

• Livestreams

• Highlights

• Promotional and educational purposes

No compensation will be provided.

12. Intellectual Property

All Site content, logos, graphics, and materials are the property of SoCal Basketball Club and may not be used without permission.

13. Third-Party Services

We use third-party platforms for:

• Registration and communications

• Payments

• Livestreaming and media

• Analytics and hosting

We are not responsible for third-party service outages or failures.

14. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoCal Basketball Club shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or participation in programs.

17. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes shall be resolved in California courts.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site or Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
